Founded as Industrial Machine Specialties in 1974 in Lincoln, Nebraska, by former high school friends Elmer Wessel and Nick Cusick, SourceOne has served its industrial client base for over 30 years. Throughout the 30-plus years of continual ownership, the company has grown internally and spawned successful sister companies due in large part to the creativity of its staff and the entrepreneurial spirit of its owners.

Within SourceOne's Custom Manufacturing & Tooling group, we have continually added the latest technology, updating our equipment to continue to offer competitive pricing, highest quality and delivery when you need it. With our dedicated, motivated and capable designers, technicians, craftsmen and machine operators and 30 plus years of creative manufacturing experience, we stand ready to answer your call.

In 1985, the desire for product and market diversification led to the establishment of Bison Inc., a name recognized nationwide in the sporting goods equipment industry for its innovation, quality and dedication to safety. Bison specializes in manufacturing indoor and outdoor basketball goals, volleyball systems, soccer goals and football goal posts for all levels of recreational and competitive play.

In 1992, Industrial Powder Coating was founded to serve an untapped market in the eastern Nebraska region for what, at the time, was a rapidly growing market for superior powder coated metal finishing.   Recently, our powder coating operation was awarded one of only a limited number of "Star Coater" certifications by Dupont, a leading powder and chemical research and supply company.

In 2006, Bison purchased Schelde North America LLC of Grand Rapids, Michigan to expand its sports equipment marketing reach, Division I programs, new construction and facilities at all levels including the transfer of some manufacturing from Europe to Lincoln.  Controlling interest in national dealer Future Pro of Inman, Kansas also enhances Bison's marketing reach.

The 2011 acquisition by Bison of the BRP site furnishing business increases Bison's product offering into the park and recreation, municipal and corporate market segments with the additions of premium benches, litter and recycling receptacles, bike security stations and related products to its line.  BRP by bison operates as a separate business unit but its products are manufactured in Bison's Lincoln, Nebraska facility and some items are available through Bison's normal dealer marketing channels.

In 1999 we purchased a fledgling turf aeration product line and continue to expand both the marketing reach and the product offerings. Our Plugr line of turf aerators has been recognized for superior performance and low maintenance operation and SourceOne's Outdoor Power Equipment group is now expanding its product line beyond the reciprocating turf aerator it is known for.

In 2004, our Industrial Machine Specialties and Industrial Powder Coating divisions merged into a single entity. The new company, SourceOne, is now even better able to serve your complete manufacturing needs.
